The metrics used to compile the table place the university equal 42nd in Europe for sustainability, and 121st for student diversity. Other metrics place the university 131st for citations per paper, which is the number of times other peer-reviewed academic papers refer to one of the University’s research papers- a measure of their quality, and 144th for papers per faculty, reflecting again, the quality and amount of research produced by the University’s academics. The university was placed 251st for both academic and employer reputation.
Compared with 107 other UK institutions, the university ranks 20th nationally for sustainability and 23rd for the number of papers from each faculty.
These results reflect the University’s ambitions to be a sustainable university and to conduct transformative, innovative impact-driven research and teaching.
